COMMISSION PROCESS

1) You fill out form telling me what you want.
2) I contact you back giving you a final price (any changes in price due to background, armor or props will be added here)
3) Once agree to the price, send money to my Paypal account. I will not start the commission until paid!
4) I will do the initial pencil sketch and send it to you for approval.
5) Once you approve the sketch I will do lines / colors.
6) I will send you the “final” with watermark to determine if you are satisfied.
7) Once I am in the color stage I can only make minor changes to the image. To be reasonable, I will only make changes 3 times. If I did any more than that it would be entirely too time consuming!
8) Once you are satisfied with the image I will email you an version with no watermark.
9) DONE

Payment

Accpeted types: Paypal only.

Payment must be sent in full before work will begin on the commission. When commissioning me, send me the form filled out then I will contact you back confirming your commission. This will list the total final price for your commission. Do not send payment until I confirm with you that I am accepting the commission and give final price.

Media

Currently the only traditional media commissions I am offering are pencil sketches. Digitally color pieces and line art are created using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional using a 6x8 Intous4 Wacom Tablet. The finished high resolution image will be sent to you via email.

Please do not get offended if I turn down your proposal because there are some things I may not feel comfortable doing or I just lack the talent/ability. Don't hesitate to ask me however. If information is not provided to me in the Commission Request Form, I will substitute with what I see artistically fit. Please note, I have a right to artistic expression, in stating that, if you don’t want the commission in my style, then I won’t do it. That is the point of me doing this, to artistically express MY style for others. This may mean slight alteration to design of characters (slight difference in hair or something different on the outfit).


All commissioned artwork is copyright to me, Crystal Boyer (Naneko85), however the characters themselves are copyright of the original designer, and you will be credited.

You can use your commissioned piece for what ever you like as long as it is non-profit. You can modify the piece in SMALL AMOUNTS if you wish but you cannot sell prints or use the work on merchandise to sell.

I reserve the right to post or not post commissioned pieces on DeviantArt and my personal Website unless otherwise discussed. I also am reserving the right as many artists do use them in promotional material such as Art books or Prints, and use in my portfolio unless otherwise discussed.

All prices are for NONCOMMERCIAL use. If the work you wish to commission me for is for commercial use, the price is DOUBLE that of the base price listed for NON-EXCLUSIVE use. This means that you can sell the product commercially, but I also maintain the right to sell as prints or use the images on merchandise. If you want EXCLUSIVE use of this, the price will be QUADRUPLE the base price.

TURN AROUND TIME

Turn around time varies depending on commission type and complexity of commission. I currently work 45+ hours a week at a full time job, so my time to work on commissions is limited to only a few hours in the evening and weekends. The more commissions with slots filled, the longer it will take me to complete the commission. I like to give myself at least a week to work on a piece. I don’t like doing the job unless it is to my full potential. This is why I typically only take on 3 at a time. If my slots are full but you would like to be put on a waiting list, feel free to contact me. I will let you know how many people are ahead of you and what I think your current wait time is.
